​Hello.  I created Beyond the Brain - Therapies as an outreach to those who are interested in pursuing greater health and wellness through alternative and gentle means.  We offer biofeedback, music therapy, art therapy, neurofeedback, traditional counseling, spiritual guidance, nutritional - educational referrals, grief / trauma healing, brainspotting, emotional support, pet therapy and mindfulness training. 

I am passionate about offering a variety of options so that everyone can live a better life.  Energy is a key to new possibilities and hope.

Emily obtained her Master's in Mental Health Counseling in 2016 and works as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She has an understanding and experience in working with various mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment and mood disorders. 

Emily takes a person-centered approached in working with individuals to empower and motivate each person as they focus on goals they have created themselves to fulfill their own potential. Therapy is provided in a comfortable, safe and non-judgmental atmosphere that allows individuals to let their guards down, unpack their pain and struggles and create a plan to move forward.

Dr. Hans Rechsteiner has been a Surgeon in Minnesota and Wisconsin for 45 year.  He has expanded his career to be a Medical Director at a vareity of Med Spas and now here with us for Ketamine Therapy.  Dr. Hans has also written a book on wellness and hopes to inspire others to live their best lives.   Welcome to our team!

Dr. Johnson is a consulting Doctor of Nutritional and Chiropractic medicine.   He is also a Biofeedback Specialist and Supervisor offering incredible knowledge and support.  Dr. Johnson works with those who desire to maximize their health potential utilizing alternative means.   He also serves those with medical conditions and mental health needs by incorporating lifestyle, supplementation, collaboration with health professionals and a synergistic approach.

We welcome Christy Harshman, RN to our therapeutic team.   Christy has spent her career working with people and organizations supporting those with mental health and physical limitations.   I am happy to announce that she will be overseeing and servicing us in Ketamine Therapy.

Dr. Hans Rechsteiner, MD

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Rechsteiner has always had an interest in community service and volunteer projects. He was the president of the board of directors of the Civic Center for 10 years during the planning, development and construction.

 

He was also instrumental in starting the Spooner Redevelopment Authority, the Spooner Lake Rehabilitation District (president of the Board of Directors for several years) and the Railroad Museum (president of the Board of Directors for several years). He has been a member of the Spooner Community Choir for 25 years. His passion is volleyball (and wallyball) and research on longevity.

 

Rechsteiner's practice is quite broad. He does surgery of mainly the abdomen, but also limited obstetrical, gynecological, orthopedic, urological, breast, etc. He also does endoscopy, and has done over 8,000 colonoscopies. His favorite surgery is Cesarean Section, having done over 900. He has one year left in surgery, oversees several Med Spas as Clinical Director and has launched his own book on wellness (available on Amazon-ask him about it!)
